Cartoon printed in September 1926 in the Chanticleer, a humor magazine produced by Rutgers students. Titled "A WARNING," the image depicts two black men carrying a casket adorned with flowers; one of the men appears to have a bottle sticking out of his pocket. Text on the side of the casket reads:
"G. Washington A. Lincoln Johnson '30
may he be where we fears he ain't"
The cartoonist's signature identifies the author as Jack Johnstone '29. Johnstone left Rutgers without graduating and later became a radio producer in California.
