Cartoon printed in February 1926 in the Chanticleer, a humor magazine produced by Rutgers students. The image depicts two black characters, one of whom is serenading the other with a string instrument. The serenading character is labeled "Othello." The caption below in the image reads:
"Who dat?
Who dat say 'Who

Who dat say 'Who
dat?' when ah say
'Who dat?'"
The author of the cartoon is Ozzie Nelson (Oswald George Nelson), Rutgers class of 1927. Nelson became famous as the co-creator of the long-running radio and TV show The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. He was inducted into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 1989.
