Article in the New Brunswick newspaper Daily Home News reporting about a mass meeting of the local NAACP that took place on April 26, 1922, at the New Brunswick High School. Speakers included Walter F. White (assistant secretary of the national NAACP), Rev. J. Bruce Gilman (of the First Baptist Church), Rev. Charles C. Weathers (of the Ebenezer Baptist Church), Ira C. Chapman (superintendent of the New Brunswick public schools). President of the New Brunswick NAACP Moses G. Thompson encouraged attendees to join the organization, and many new members were enrolled at the meeting.
