FRONT TRANSCRIPTION
This Indenture made this Twenty fourth day of
July in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred
& ninety eight between Thomas Reed of Montgomery
County in the state of New York, physician
& Docr Moses Scott of the city of
New Brunswick in behalf of Archd Reed of the
one part, & John Neilson of the City of New Brunswick
aforesd of the other part, witnesseth that the said
party of the first part for and in consideration of
the sum of one hundred dollars to them in hand
paid by the party of the second part, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained
& sold and by therof presents do grant bargain
& sell unto the said party of the second part his
heirs & assigns a certain negro man named Tony
formerly belonging to the estate of the late Israel
Reed dec. and do hereby divest themselves of all
right & title in the said negro man Tony to the
said John Neilson, In witness wherof the said
party of the first part have hereunto set their
hands & seals the day & year above written.
