Douglass College (formerly New Jersey College for Women)

Description

This collection consists of yearbook photos, newspaper clippings, and alumni files that highlight the student experience of African American women during the early years of Douglass College. Founded in 1918, the school was originally known as the New Jersey College for Women or NJC. It was renamed Douglass College in 1955 and eventually became Douglass Residential College in 2007.
