Nicholas.
I James DeHart of the Township of North Brunswick, in the County of Middlesex, and State of New Jersey, Farmer, certify that a male negro child called Nicholas was born of my slave Dinah, on the twenty second day of March last past, at the township aforesaid. Witness my hand this twelfth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine.-
