THE COVETED DEGREE of doctor of education was conferred upon the Rev. Egerton E. Hall, priest in charge of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Plainfield, at the graduation exercises of Rutgers University in New Brunswick on Thursday. Harvard is the only other American university awarding the degree, and Dr. Hall was the only person to get it at Rutgers this year. The minister holds an A.B. from London University, a B.D. from Payne Theological Seminary, a M.A. from New York University, and a M.Sc. in education from Rutgers.
