Phillis
I James Schureman of the township of North Brunswick in the County of Middlesex and the state of New Jersey, Esquire, certify that a female negro child called Phillis was born of my slave Patty, at the place aforesaid in the first day of May last past. Witness my hand this twenty ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven.
